Estudio MMX

Established in 2010 Estudio MMX is created as a collaborative team basedin Mexico City, focused on the design processes for the various scales ofthe territory. Founded by Jorge Arvizu, Ignacio del Rio, Emmanuel Ramírezand Diego Ricalde, the study seeks a collaborative practice, whose work,synthesis of the structure of the team, promotes the consolidation ofits experiencewith a participatory collective dynamic.With an open approach to any scale of intervention, the office develops proposalswhose territories vary from design and facilities to architecture andurban planning; recognizing in each project a unique challenge for its physical,economic and social context. 2The study has been recognized with national and international awardsamong which stand out; the “Architectural League Prize” in New York,Highly Commended Emerging Architecture prize by The Architectural Review,theLatin American Biennial in Pamplona Spain, the CEMEX Award for best nationaland international housing and the 2012 Architectural RecordDesignVanguard (ten emerging offices worldwide) among others.His work has been exhibited in galleries such as “Storefront for Art and Architecture”,the “MOMA Museum of Modern Art” in Manhattan New York,the “MUDE” fashion museum at the Lisbon Triennale2013 in Portugal exhibition of Mexican architecture in Paris,Francein 2015 and the Venice Biennale of Architecture in Venice, Italy in 2018.
