Luca Molinari

Honorary president of the ARCHMARATHON jury

Architect, critic and associate professor of Contemporary History and Theory of Architecture at SUN (Seconda Università degli Studi, Naples) and at Cornell University College of Architecture, Art, and Planning in Rome.

He writes as independent critic for Italian and international newspapers and magazines, such as: Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, L’Espresso, AD, Platform, Domus, Lotus, Abitare, Ottagono, Il progetto, Archis, L’architecture d’aujourd’hui and A+U. Since 1995 he is editor of the architecture and design series of Skira Publisher.

Between 2005 and 2006 he’s been director of NABA School of Design (Milan) and director of NABA Interior Design master (2010-2011). In 2006 he’s been acknowledged Ernesto Nathan Rogers Award by the X Venice Architecture Biennale. Between 2001 and 2004 he has been scientific director of Triennale di Milano architecture and town planning sections and a member of Triennale scientific board. Within Triennale appointment he created and curated the first Gold Medal for Italian Architecture (2003), the first edition of Festa per l’Architettura (2004) and the conference series “Cantieri aperti” (2004-05).

Between 2007 and 2008 he’s cultural advisor for Italy at XXIII UIA World Congress Torino 2008, Transmitting Architecture.

In the last years Luca Molinari has been devoting to competition management for private and public clients, art direction and curatorship for public exhibition and events.
