Marco Bonelli and Marijana Radovic

Founders of m2atelier

International studio m2atelier was created by Marco Bonelli and Marijana Radovic, architects based in Milan that merged their two studios in 2013.
Thanks to their multidisciplinary approach, nourished by continuous research into materials, space and proportions, with a stylistic figure that makes of attention to detail its distinctive feature, m2atelier designs unique works for clients in every part of the world.
The research around the key themes of design is elaborated in residential projects, interior design, fashion retail and yachting to various scales. A typological interconnection that allows the studio to develop increasingly different projects, through which it doesn’t pursue a dominant style, but defines the character, identity and uniqueness of every single creative experience in an exclusive way.

“We always try to go above and beyond and never to content ourselves with things seen before, always following the client’s brief but stimulating reflection and comparison on materials and solutions in the pursuit of excellence in every aspect of the project.”

Ambassadors of Made in Italy throughout the world, the founding partners work with 25 designers and architects of various nationalities and skills, professionals of a variety of disciplines. Thus, they develop every aspect of the project with a bespoke approach based on continuous challenges and variations on the theme.
The most important part of the studio business is dedicated to residential projects, fashion retail for luxury brands and to nautical design. The experience acquired through the years and the recognised skill in these specific areas have allowed the studio to collaborate with the leading actors of various sectors, and to deepen mutual trust relationships with private clients throughout the world.

_Marijana Radovic
Born in Serbia in 1979, after a degree cum laude in architecture from the University of Belgrade, she moved to Italy to attend a master’s programme in Yacht Design at the Politecnico of Milan. It was a fundamental step in her career because it would delineate her choice of design area, and would be the beginning of the relationship that would link her to Milan.
Her professional activity immediately concentrated on interior design, embracing all fields of interiors, with particular attention to the luxury yacht sector. Her successive work experience brought her to work in Rome in the studio of Lazzarini Pickering, then to Geneva at the company of the ship owner Latsis, and then to Athens to follow the most important shipyards in situ. Different areas that allowed her to develop her managerial skills, thanks to which she is able to manage entire projects. In 2006, she founded STANDBY studio, initially with offices in Belgrade and Athens, but in 2009, identified Milan as the perfect location to move to and continue her design work in yacht design, as well as in the residential and aeronautic sectors.
“Milan has become our city. Thanks to its cosmopolitan soul, made up of art, history, culture, design and fashion, today it is the perfect location to develop our work. Beyond the international relationships that we can strengthen here, we find skills linked to materials and works in the territory that are in our country’s DNA, and embody the true distinctive characteristic of Made in Italy.”
